Prof. Gonzalo Miranda LC

Prof. Gonzalo Miranda LC., was born in Gerona (Spain) in 1954. He obtained a Doctorate in Moral Theology. In 2001, he founded the Faculty of Bioethics of the Pontifical University Regina Apostolorum in Rome.

He is an ordinary professor of Bioethics and of Moral Theology in the Faculties of bioethics and theology of the University Regina Apostolorum.

He is a member of the Directive Committee of the Centre of Bioethics of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart; honorary of the Consejo de Bioética of the Mexican Episcopal Conference; of the Directive Council of the FIBIP (International Federation of Bioethical Centres of Personalistic Inspiration); of the Bioethical Committee of the AIFMC (International Federation of Catholic Medical Faculties); of the Directive Committee of the journals: «Medicina e Morale» (Rome); «Medicina y Ética» (México); «Vida y Ética» (Argentina).

As an active and untiring worker, he frequently contributes to the field of social communications, especially in radio and television programs, on the themes of bioethics, morality, family, etc.

In most recent years, he has participated in such programs in more than 150 different occasions. He has published eight books and more than 60 articles on themes regarding bioethics and morality, particularly concerning young people and the family.
