Prof. Zdzisław Kijas OFM Conv.

Prof. Zdzisław Kijas OFM Conv., of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual, was born in Poland in 1960. In the year 1986, he received priestly ordination from the Holy Father, the Servant of God, John Paul II.

He studied in Poland, Italy, Belgium and the United Stated, and obtained a doctorate in Religious Science and in Dogmatics at the Catholic University of Louvain-La-Neuve in Belgium. He has been a Professor at the Theological Faculty of the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Krakow. Currently, he is President of the Pontifical Theological Faculty of St. Bonaventure-Seraphicum, and Primary Secretary and Archivist of the Pontifical Academy of the Immaculate. He is an Ordinary Professor of: Ecclesiology and Ecumenism at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of St. Bonaventure-Seraphicum. He also teaches at the Antonianum and the University of Studies of Venice Ca’ Foscari.

He has numerous publications of scientific character. Apart from the various articles in diverse languages, on the subjects of dogmatics, Mariology, and spirituality, he has also published various texts. Among the most recent:
